Our Regimen

“Our regimen” refers to our WaveLight Whitening Kit and procedure. One kit contains two finger teeth wipes, two hydrating swabs, one mouth tray and 1 syringe with 3 ml whitening gel.

Helping the customer use the kit is simple. Make sure the customer is seated comfortably with the chair leaning back so that the customer’s head is tilted slightly. If their head is too vertical saliva might drop from their mouth during the treatment.

After the customer has filled out the waiver form completely, review it to ensure there are no reasons the customer shouldn’t have the procedure. Now you can begin!

First, give the customer one of the finger teeth wipes so he/she may brush his/her teeth as the whitening gel is proven more effective on clean teeth. Next, compare their teeth shade with the shade guide and record so they can prepare to be amazed at the final result.

The next step, give the customer a hydrating swab for them to wipe their gums. More importantly, the gums directly adjacent to their teeth. Once finished, the whitening process can begin.

Handing the customer the mouth tray that you’ve filled for them, guide them on placing the tray into their mouth. Instruct them to make sure the mouth tray sits firmly against their teeth, pressing the front of the tray against their teeth to ensure that the gel makes excellent contact and squeezes between their teeth. It’s important to note that one treatment requires 1 ml of gel (0.5 ml for the top tray, and 0.5 ml for the bottom tray).

Finally, set the lamp for the whitening treatment and begin, placing the head of the lamp as close as possible to the customer’s mouth without the lamp actually touching the customer.

A 20-minute treatment (single session) typically yields an improvement of 2-8 shades. A double treatment 4-10 shades of improvement! The more treatments a person does, the whiter their teeth get so it’s recommended that you suggest your customers get a double treatment because the results are more dramatic.
